Christopher McNulty
PhD in World History
Chris is a fifth year PhD candidate. His research focuses on the American military presence in Britain during the Second World War, particularly the place of military justice and criminal law in the Anglo-American ‘special relationship.’ Before joining Northeastern, he worked as a researcher on the public services team at a governmental think tank in London, having also spent time at the National Health Service. Originally from Salisbury in the United Kingdom, he moved to Boston in 2019. He holds an MSc in the History of International Relations and a BA in History from the London School of Economics, and an MA in World History from Northeastern. Chris’s work has received generous support from the Department of History at Northeastern, the American Historical Association, the William Nelson Cromwell Foundation, and the American Society for Legal History.
