Martha Durkee-Neuman is a fourth-year senior studying Human Services and International Affairs with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, originally from Washington state. Her academic and civic interests lie in reproductive justice, equity in sexual education, and gun violence prevention. She is recently returned from working with Oxfam America in Washington DC, doing strategic campaigning for refugee rights. In addition to her work with the Social Impact Lab, she currently serves as the Outreach Chair for the Sexual Assault Response Coalition and as an executive board member with the Northeastern University Interfaith Council. Martha intends to continue pursuing grassroots community organizing and policy advocacy after graduation.
