Savio Rousseau Rozario
PhD in Public Policy
Savio Rousseau Rozario is pursuing his PhD in Public Policy, concentrating in Sustainability and Resilience, with a focus on the Locally Led Adaptation (LLA) framework for inclusive, accountable, and locally responsive climate resilience. Before joining the PhD program, Savio served as the Program Coordinator of the LLA Program at the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), leading program development, research, partnerships, and project management. His expertise includes ethnographic and social research, particularly generating grassroots evidence to inform climate adaptation and resilience. Savio has contributed to major international policy processes as a Contributing Lead Author for UNEP’s Global Environment Outlook 7 (GEO-7), an Advisory Committee member of the International Network of Boundary Organizations on Adaptation (INBOA), and a core member of the UNFCCC Climate Resilient Food Systems Alliance (CRFSA). He has participated in three UNFCCC COPs, following and contributing to the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) track. Savio holds an MS in Disaster Management from the University of Dhaka, an MSc. in Climate Change and Development from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and a BSc. in Environmental Science and Environmental Management from IUB, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
