Digging for Justice

This project applies research tools of the arts and humanities to expose patterns of systemic inequality and contribute to data-rich efforts in reparative justice. Currently, we are creating a new database of unexplored dimensions of Jim Crow Era racial violence, drawing on newspaper archives and state records across the South. This project involves collaboration with Northeastern University’s Civil Rights & Restorative Justice Project,
