The Ethics Institute collaborates with industry partners to develop and deliver ethics content that empowers technology researchers, developers, designers, and decision-makers to better understand and incorporate values in their work, communicate ethical concerns within and without their institutions and be advocates for responsible technology development.
Our short courses are built to help researchers, designers, developers, and decision-makers in industry better identify where values intersect with questions of technological design and how incorporating ethical thinking at all stages of research, development, and deployment can help shape technologies for the better. Our short courses provide participants with a more nuanced understanding of issues such as fairness, privacy, transparency, and autonomy. We work closely with partners to customize course content such as case-studies and group projects to help participants practice deploying course content using realistic examples.
