Zachary Agatstein
Visiting Lecturer, Political Science
Zachary Agatstein has a BA in political science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and completed his M.A. and Ph. D in political science at Northeastern University. His dissertation, entitled Perpetrator, Facilitator, Resister: A framework for studying state roles in genocide, proposed the first of its kind descriptive model of state roles in genocide, focusing on a close examination of Bosnia, Rwanda, and Denmark during the Holocaust. Other interests include nationalism and the application of social psychological models in political science.
