Visit CSSH, Get an Application Fee Waiver

If you attend a CSSH Open House or Welcome Day, or meet with a Northeastern University staff or faculty member through a graduate program recruitment event, and then apply to a CSSH graduate program, we will waive your application fee. When you submit your application, please check “yes” in response to the question “Did you attend an admission event?” Please enter the date of the event and your fee will automatically be waived. It pays to plan ahead as we will not refund fees already paid.

Take Courses as a Special Student

Students who wish to take graduate classes in CSSH before applying to a degree program may apply for non-degree special student status. Special students apply through the online application system, ApplyYourself, and enroll on a part-time basis. Special students cannot exceed more than two courses per semester and may not exceed 9 semester hours over time prior to applying to a degree program.

Before applying, special students should refer to the application materials required. Please note: Special Student applicants should include the graduate-level CSSH course/s of interest in their personal statements.
