Check out Akiera Gilbert who was recently featured on the Students of CSSH Instagram! Akiera is a 4th year Human Services major with a minor in Global Social Entrepreneurship.
“My original intention upon entering Northeastern was to be a doctor, but I quickly realized the sight of other people’s blood was not my favorite thing. After taking my first human services course, there was little to look back on. I wanted a course of study that highlighted the social, political, and economic circumstances that shape people’s lives and to learn how I could become a changemaker. Studying human services has fulfilled that and I now strive to have a career rooted in social change.”
