Join Northeastern Crossing in Ruggles Plaza for ¡Inmersión!, a free, outdoor lunchtime celebration of Latin Heritage. The Tenoch Mexican food truck will be on campus selling lunch (cash only).
SCHEDULE:
11am-12pm: Kick off the day with live Brazilian drumming performed by Grooversity. The band’s energy and choreography are guaranteed to lift your spirits and power you through the day.
12pm-1:30pm: Share your stories with Playback Theater and watch them come to life as actors use music movement and dialogue to portray them.
12pm-2pm: Join Salsa in the Park for a salsa dance lesson and dance party.
2pm-3pm: Let your voice be heard! Participate in a 30 minute open mic for LatinX poetry and hear the powerful words of National Poetry Slam champion Jonathan Mendoza.
3pm-4pm: Finish the day by practicing conversational Spanish during Hora del Café.
In the event of inclement weather, all activities will move indoors to Northeastern Crossing. Entry will be limited to first come, first served and as capacity allows.
