Join us for a live art showcase as we explore the roles of fashion and identity.

Have you ever wondered how the Black Panther’s all-black attire and afros tied into their work for social justice? Join us for a live art showcase as we explore the roles of fashion and identity in different cultural social justice movements throughout American history! The event will take place on Thursday, April 5th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the Center of Intercultural Engagement. The event will begin with the opportunity for guests to engage with live models dressed in attire from different social justice movements and cultural identities with complementary hor d’oeuvres and drinks. This “mocktail” hour will be followed by a group discussion about the ways in which fashion is related to, and can influence, identity and social movements.
