Fueling Justice Coalition Fireside Chat: Self-Care for Activists

Thursday, October 28, 2021 @ 5:30pm – 7:30pm

What is a Fireside Chat? A laid back, fun, informal, moderated discussion where you can share your thoughts and learn about important topics that include (but not limited to) anti-racism, equality and equity of marginalized groups.

Being an activist can come at a cost to your mental, physical and emotional health. Prioritizing self-care is essential to having longevity in this ongoing fight. Join us and guest speakers Crystal Chandler with the Crystal Lens Experience and Gilian Haley with The Way To Give Project for an open discussion on ways we can refuel ourselves while fighting for justice. The Crystal Lens Experience facilitates inclusivity workshops on race, gender, & mental health and The Way To Give Project’s mission aims to connect people through the development of productive and positive communities around the globe.

The goal of this chat is to raise awareness on mental health, encourage healthy emotional and mental habits, spread positivity and foster self love. We welcome you and encourage you to bring a friend. Come as you are, learn, unlearn, listen and be kind.
