Volunteer Opportunities:
Prison Book Program:
Join us at Prison Book Program on Saturday, November 19th from 10 am to 1 pm. We will be reading prisoners’ book requests, selecting books from the organization’s bookstore and packaging the books up to send to prisoners. This is an excellent opportunity to help those that have made a mistake and lead them on the right track. To sign up click here.
Thanksgiving at the Carter School:
HSO will be volunteering to help with Thanksgiving at the Carter School. We will be setting up for the event on Thursday, November 17th from 3:30-5 pm, setting up the food on Friday, November 18th from 10:30-11:30 am, serving the food from 11:30 am-1 pm, and cleaning up from 1-3 pm. Community Servings:
HSO will be preparing and packaging food for chronically ill patients at Community Servings on Thursday, December 1st from 6-8 pm. Please sign up here.
