The Husky Volunteer Team (HVT) program provides meaningful and consistent service to the communities surrounding Northeastern University.

Volunteers, in teams of three to ten, partner with a community organization for one semester where they serve on the same day and time each week. Projects range from tutoring at an after school program, to visiting with elders, preparing and distributing meals, and more! HVT is a great way for any and everyone to stay engaged and involved with peers and the community! This program is open to students, faculty, and staff!

Huskies: Register to join HVT for Summer I 2018 HERE. We will be holding an orientation on Friday, May 11 from 11am-1pm in McLeod Suites (Curry 320) where lunch will be provided! Please email any questions to: nucommunityservice@gmail.com. Or you can always drop by the 172 Curry office and ask questions in person!

Our Husky Volunteer Team allows students, staff and faculty to engage in weekly service at a local community organization once a week as part of a team. Our Summer 1 HVT is 5-6 weeks long, and is a great time for us to recruit staff & faculty to volunteer alongside our students. We have volunteer shifts on days, nights, and weekends, and our partner organizations are looking for help with tutoring, mentoring, serving meals, sorting donations, and helping community members select new donated clothes. Learn about HVT and our summer partners here!

We’d love for you to consider signing up, as well as helping to spread the word to your networks about the program. At Friday’s lunch, we will introduce the partner organizations, allow people to select their site, day & time, give people a chance to meet others who will also serve there, and hear a brief orientation to the program. Weekly service will begin the week of May 14th and will end the week of June 18th
