Interview – Maya Genovesi

Why did you choose this major, and does/did it seem like the right major for you? Why?

I entered Northeastern University as an undecided student, and declared a Human Services major by December of my Freshman year. I was attracted to the smaller student to teacher ratio, enjoyed the Professors, and was interested in the classes that I would be required to take. Human Services also felt natural to me, and as if it would give me the knowledge and tools that I need to move forward. I then declared a double major in Psychology because I have always been interested in individual pathology, I also liked all the required classes and viewed this as an opportunity to enhance my experience as a Human Services Major.
