As a college Access Coach, you are on the frontlines of educational justice as a teacher, role model, and mentor. Serves as an SAT tutor to a small group of high school students in your community and support them through the college application process. College Access Coaches commit to: Coach 3 hours a week in the evening for 9 weeks, Dedicate 1 hour a week to prep time, Serve as a role model and guide to your students. Let’s Get Ready(SGR) is looking for college volunteers to be on the frontline of educational justice.

Let’s Get Ready provides students from low-income backgrounds with free SAT preparation, admissions counseling, and other support services needed to gain admission to and graduate from college. Services are provided by volunteer college students who also serve as role models and mentors. They operate programs throughout the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Coaches teach math, verbal, or both sections of the SAT and guide students through the complexity of the college admissions process. College Access Coaches commit to:

-coach 3 hours a week in the evening for 9 weeks
-dedicated 1 hour a week to prep time
-serve as a role model and guide to your students

The programs run from September 28th to November 30th on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
