Northeastern invites you to a masterclass with renown percussionist Henry Cole. Described as, “the future of drumming,” (Bongohead) Cole leads the Villa Locura with his wide musical range, grace and sheer power behind the drum kit. A Puerto Rican native, Cole combines various musical influences – Puerto Rican folklore, funk and R&B, jazz and Afro-Carribean rhythms – and is leading a new wave of jazz. Cole has taken his cross-cultural rhythms across the globe touring the U.S., Europe, Mexico, Central America, Korea, and Japan. His 21st Century style makes him a sought-after performer and educator who has taught in world-renowned classrooms, including those of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
Come learn from this worldly musician, free of charge, at Northeastern Crossing on October 7th from 1-3PM.Then watch him in action during his concert at 7:30PM that evening.
