Thalia Carroll-Cachimuel – In the Field

thalia Carroll-Cachimuel

Thalia Carroll-Cachimuel is a third-year transfer student studying Human Services. This semester she is working part-time at her co-op Philanthropy New York and part-time at the United Nations. Philanthropy New York enhances and increases the ability of organizational and individual philanthropists located in the New York region, whose missions focus on New York, the United States, and around the globe, to serve the public good. Thalia is working under the supervision of  Human Services Alum Allyson Goldhagen, who has been nothing but amazing and patient with her throughout these first few weeks. Her second part-time position is with the United Nations in the Human Rights Department. She is working with the Sub-Committee for the Elimination of Racism. The Sub-Committee engages in educational programming and advocacy to eliminate the intergenerational and contemporary impact of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.
