The Human Services Program is presenting The Land, an adventure play documentary.

Learn about the critical benefits of play and healthy risk-taking for all children.
“At The Land children climb trees, light fires and use hammers and nails in a play-space rooted in the belief that kids are empowered when they learn to manage risks on their own.

Following the screening will be a panel featuring:

  • Erin Davis, ‘The Land’ Filmmaker
  • Anna Housley Juster, Ph.D., Child Development & Play Consultant, Wheelock College
  • Peter Gray, Ph.D., Research Professor, Dept. of Psychology, Boston College and author of Free to Learn
  • Marisa Luse, Campus Engagement Coordinator and Special Assistant to the Director of Neighborhood Partnerships and Programs, Northeastern University

Moderated by Emily Mann, Ph.D., Teaching Professor, Human Services Program.
