Join Project Bread as we pull up our sleeves and volunteer at Mill City Grows’ urban farm in Lowell on Saturday, September 30. We will be working in the field from 9AM – 12PM followed by a recipe tasting from 12 – 1PM.

Project Bread is Massachusetts’ leading anti-hunger organization committed to providing people of all ages, cultures, and walks of life with sustainable, reliable access to nutritious food. We believe the opposite of hungry is not simply full, but healthy.

Through the hard work of participants in our annual Walk for Hunger and the generosity of our supporters, Project Bread is able to fund hundreds of programs and organizations that provide a safety net against hunger for low-income individuals and families across the state. Mill City Grows is just one of those amazing organizations! Mill City Grows is a network of community gardens, urban farms and school garden programs that increase community access to healthy, fresh food. We are excited to lead a group of volunteers for a day of fun and learning about building the local food system.
