With so much news on COVID-19, it can be difficult to stay well-informed—particularly when much of that news is incomplete or outright false. U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy joined a virtual roundtable with an extensive list of leading researchers on April 8 to discuss this issue of COVID-19 misinformation, as well as the state of the disease more broadly.
Participants included NULab Co-Director David Lazer of Northeastern University, Professor Dolores Albarracín of University of Pennsylvania , Professor Matthew A. Baum of Harvard University, Professor Leticia Bode of Georgetown University, Professor Filippo Menczer of Indiana University, Professor Brendan Nyhan of Dartmouth College, Professor Katherine Ognyanova of Rutgers University, and Professor David Rand of MIT.
