Second workshop convened for Jews in Muslim and Shared Diasporic Lands

The second  Workshop on Jews in Muslim and Shared Diasporic Lands, convened by Professor William Miles (Northeastern-Political Science; center) and Professor Alan Verskin (URI-History; right) was held on Sunday, February 2, 2020 in Kingston, Rhode Island.  This Workshop featured a screening and discussion (led by Professor Leslie Kealhofer-Kemp, left, of the University of Rhode Island) of Where Are You Going, Moishe?,the story of a Moroccan Jewish community and family. Theme of the culminating Workshop: “Jewish Music in Muslim Lands.” Sponsored by the American Academy of Jewish Research, this Workshop series is a collaboration between Northeastern University and the University of Rhode Island (URI).
