Dr. Alavarez-Noli Publishes new article

This piece takes a biopolitical approach to California’s regulation of 1,3-dichloropropene (1,3-D), a common soil fumigant. Drawing on archival materials and policy documents, Dr. Alavarez-Noli looks at how regulatory frameworks and scientific modeling were shaped by industry priorities and how that, in turn, deepened existing racial inequities in pesticide exposure.
