Research Projects
SSEHRI has a variety of ongoing research projects:
- PROTECT – a multi-project program that investigates preterm births in communities surrounding toxic waste and Superfund sites in Puerto Rico, with emphasis on TCE and phthalates.
- ROUTES – a program is developed to increase the number of undergraduate underrepresented minority (URM) students participating in the environmental health (EH) research, training them in interdisciplinary settings and continuing onto graduate studies and lifelong EH research careers.
- T32 – The T32 Training Program provides support for doctoral students for three years each and post-docs for two years each.
