Gabriela’s Path

Gabriela declared a philosophy major because she is deeply interested in the ethical implications behind decisions in technology research and development, as well as industry regulation. “I feel that Northeastern’s Philosophy Department is on the forefront in technology and data ethics, providing students with opportunities in and out of the classroom to explore this emerging field. Technology has become an integral part of our lives, but it has created an entirely new set of ethical complications, especially when it comes to data privacy and the advancement of Artificial Intelligence.”
