Madison Darrell
MA in Public History
Madison Darrell graduated summa cum laude from Nazareth University in 2024 with a BA in Museums, Archives, and Public History; History; and French as well as minors in dance and the honors program. During her time at Nazareth, she worked for the university’s Center for Public History, participated in three study abroad programs, worked as a collections intern at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, completed an independent study on slavery interpretation at historic sites, and wrote her honors thesis on the socio-politics of dance in Colonial Massachusetts. Through the National Park Service, Madison interned at Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial in 2022 and has volunteered at Fort McHenry NM&HS since 2018, where she engages with visitors through historical interpretation and conversations on public memory. Recently named a 2024 Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship recipient, Madison looks forward to continuing her study and practice of public history at Northeastern University.
