Melissa Pearson presents at Eastern Washington University for Black History Month

Melissa Pearson
 was an invited guest speaker and kicked off Black History month with the department of Africana Studies at Eastern Washington University with her talk, “It’s Not ‘Borrowing,’ It’s Exploitation: Setting the Record Straight on Cultural Appropriation” in February 2018.

She will be moderating the panel, “Teachable  Moments: Strategies for Responding to Implicit Bias” at the Women of Color in the Academy conference at Northeastern that brings together women academics of color in greater Boston.
