Sebastian Stockman & Laurie Edwards lead workshop on Op-Eds at Writers’ Week 2018

On Wednesday, March 28th, Sebastian Stockman and Laurie Edwards led a workshop on Op-Ed writing as part of NU Writers’ Week 2018. Sharing from their experiences writing op-eds– including “Amid Cambridge Public School threats, what’s a parent to do?” (Stockman) and “The Gender Gap in Pain” (Edwards)–Laurie and Sebastian walked participants through the ways that op-ed writing can inform, persuade, educate, inspire, advocate, and relate.

NU Writers’ Week 2018 (Writing/Righting the World) is a collaboration between Northeastern Crossing, the English Department, and the Writing Center. NU Writers’ Week brings together students, faculty, staff, and the Boston community to feature and support the wide-range of voices and types of writing present in our community. This year’s week-long celebration of writing will include a variety of interactive events, including workshops and events, from a social justice perspective.
