This April, Northeastern University’s poetry slam group, the Interrobang Poets, sent a team of five poets to compete in the 2019 College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) in Houston, Texas. The team, comprised of five poets — Ffion Titmuss (Biology/English), Sydney Bobb (Liberal Studies), Chinma Nnadozie-Okananwa (English), Ajoa Addae (Biology), and Joely Barrios (Communication Studies) — made it to semi-finals and ultimately placed 10th out of 58 teams.  The Department of English was proud to support the group’s travel to the competition. Congratulations to the team, the Interrobang Poets, and to their advisor Professor Ellen Noonan!
