Alessio Tognetti
Principal Lecturer in Italian
Alessio Tognetti is a native of Mantova, Italy. After completing his program at Mantova’s Liceo Classico, he moved to the United States to pursue further studies and received a BA in human ecology (an interdisciplinary degree ) with a concentration in philosophy. He then moved to Oregon, where he taught Italian at the University of Oregon for two years and also received his master’s degree in Italian literature.
Mr. Tognetti’s interests are as varied as they are numerous and include philosophy, psychology, history, history of art, physics, computers, astronomy, and archeology. He has traveled extensively, spending at least one month in full-immersion in each of the following foreign countries: Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, and Canada.
