Stacey Katz Bourns teaches courses in French language, linguistics, and culture. Her research focuses on the grammar of spoken vs. written French, syntax, pragmatics, applied linguistics, and curriculum development. She is a member of the ADFL Executive Committee and the former president of the AAUSC. She was the series editor of the annual volume Issues in Language Program Direction from 2011-2017 and currently holds the post of Assistant Editor (Linguistics) for the French Review.
