Daniel Cuenca

Associate Teaching Professor of Spanish and Portuguese

Dr. Cuenca specializes in transcultural studies from the perspective of media theory. He has focused primarily on the role of intercultural narratives and discourses in various forms of trans-societal dialogue, including global art and language learning. His current research lies at the intersection of film, spectacle and modernity theories, and focuses on textual constructions of “(under-)development” in mass media.
