Gorka Basterretxea Santiso
Assistant Teaching Professor of Spanish
Gorka Basterretxea Santiso (Ph.D.) is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the World Languages and Cultures Department since 2023. His main area of interest is sociolinguistics and bilingualism particularly in Spain and the US and he is interested in discovering new ways of introducing his research on language variation into teaching. Originally from the Basque Country, he completed a PhD and an MS at Georgetown University, an MA at Illinois State University, and a BA at Universidad de Salamanca.
