Dr. Laura Arévalo-Catalán, originally from Seville (Spain), joined Northeastern University as a Lecturer in Spanish in 2025. She earned her Ph.D. in Spanish from Temple University, where her research focused on medieval Iberian literature and the cultural exchanges among Jews, Muslims, and Christians. She teaches Spanish language and culture, composition, and conversation, as well as courses in medical Spanish.
