So Young Koo received her Ph.D. in Literature, Media, and Culture from Florida State University. She studied Literature at the University of Texas at Dallas (M.A.) and English and French at the University of Texas at Austin (B.A.). She focuses on the Asian/Asian-American literature and media, specifically on the transnational cross-pollinations of literature and media in the cultural psyche.
