Fulbright to Russia (Kazan University)

Tom-Jay Cinq-Mars, an Honors student who graduated with a double major in History and Spanish in May 2010, won a Fulbright to Russia (Kazan University) for 2011-2012. Tom Jay was also awarded a U.S. Department of State Critical Languages Scholarship for study in Kazan, Russia during summer 2010. Tom Jay was the recipient of a Presidential Scholarship while at Northeastern, along with a Provost-sponsored research grant to study the history of the Spanish Civil War. In summer 2007, Mr. Cinq-Mars traveled to Salamanca, Spain, to work in Los Archivos de la Guerra Civil Española.
