We are also excited to announce that our keynote speaker is Cemil Aydin, Professor of Global History at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. He will present his talk, “The Global South and the Global West as Competing Narratives over the Memory of 20th Century World History.”
This is an in-person event with free attendance and is open to all. Free breakfast, lunch, and reception will be provided. A Zoom link will be shared for those interested in joining remotely. Please use this link to register to attend.
We welcome you to join us as we discuss the ways communities around the world have remembered, memorialized, and confronted challenges such as dispossession, genocide, ethnic cleansing, pandemics, famine, war, and ecological crises among others.
