The Northeastern History Graduate Student Association warmly invites attendees to our 18th annual conference, “The Global and the Local: Power, Accommodation, and Resistance,” with keynote speaker Dr. Elisabeth Leake, Lee E. Dirks Professor in Diplomatic History at Tufts University. The conference will be held on Friday, March 13th, 2026 at the Cabral Center at the John D. O’Bryant African-American Institute.
Please register for our conference here (whether you plan to attend one panel or the full day). Although you may also register at the door, we would greatly appreciate registration in advance.
More Information on the theme of the conference and our Call for Papers is available here. This is an in-person event with free attendance and is open to all. Free breakfast, lunch, and reception will be provided. We welcome you to join us as we discuss the ways in which local communities and regions have grappled with global themes such as migration, law, capitalism, gender, and more.
Your support and participation will be highly valued. The conference schedule will be distributed soon. Please contact [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
