Northeastern celebrates community’s highest achievements

Academic honors convocation

Northeastern University celebrated the highest achievements of students, faculty, staff, and alumni at the Academic Honors Convocation on Monday, April 23, 2018 to a standing-room-only crowd in East Village.

The event honored more than 70 members of the Northeastern community whose academic prowess, insatiable curiosity, and entrepreneurial spirit have made them standout scholars, researchers, mentors, teachers, and innovators. Honorees included two Human Services Program’s students:

  • Akiera Gilbert ’17, human services major, global social entrepreneurship minor
    • American India Foundation
  • Raevan Henderson ’17, human services and criminal justice major
    • The Fulbright U.S. Student Program
