Free online webinar: Tuesday, December 15 – 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Housing insecurity is now at the forefront of the pandemic battle. With safety net programs phasing out, the financial hardships are increasing. Most of these support programs are set to expire at the end of this month, as the virus surges throughout the state.
The impact of receiving the 14-day notice to quit, the first step in the eviction process, can be traumatic. A recent Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MPAC) report found an estimated 60,000 renters in MA fear “imminent eviction” and nearly 1 in 6 are behind on rent payments.
MassSupport’s Town Hall, “Shelter from the Storm” Housing Resources During COVID-19 aims to provide information on the available programs, landlord and tenant legal rights, and guidance on how to apply for housing assistance during this unprecedented time.
