Curriculum and Planning

CSSH Peer Mentors are upperclass students who guide incoming first-year students within their majors. Each peer mentoring program’s goal is the same: helping first-year students and transfer students feel connected to their departments and supported by peers during the first and second semester on campus.

Before a Human Services student graduates, they will be required to spend a semester in a human services organization as an intern. The internship course is offered both Fall and Spring semesters. Learn more here.

Faculty-led programs, offered during the summer, that focus on critical issues facing students and their peers at both the local and global levels.

Human Services Library Resource a guide to online and print resources for human services research.

Access free online software training

LinkedIn Learning is a leading online learning platform that helps anyone learn business, software, technology and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals. Through individual, corporate, academic and government subscriptions, members have access to LinkedIn’s video library of engaging, top-quality courses taught by recognized industry experts.

How to:

  1. Log into the Student Hub
  2. Click on “Resources” then on “Miscellaneous”
  3. LinkedInLearning should be on the list of links.

This resource displays all of the classroom modules that have been created by members of the Digital Integration Teaching Initiative team. The materials are organized by thematic content, along with the course, year, project title, and a link to the class module. Topics such as excel, twitter podcasting, and citation are covered.
