Plus One in History
Allyson Koehler graduated from Northeastern University in 2021, where she majored in history with a minor in French. She is enrolled in the PlusOne Program for Public History at Northeastern. Her senior capstone entitled, “Peace in the 21st Century: A proposal for United Nations reform,” focuses on the UN’s role in Kosovo, and how the UN could be adjusted for future peacekeeping missions. During her time as a Northeastern undergrad, she completed two co-ops, one at the Massachusetts Attorney General and the other at the Massachusetts Archive. Her research interests include genocide studies, specifically the Bosnian genocide, and how the term of genocide is applied when describing widespread violence.
