Ayanna Miller-Smith
Criminology and Justice Policy, PhD
Ayanna Miller is a doctoral student at the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University, originally from Brooklyn, New York. Ayanna’s research interests include racial justice, policing, police-community relationships, community mechanisms of public safety, and evidence-based policy. Prior to arriving at Northeastern, she served as a policy intern at the New York City Department of Corrections, as a research assistant at Center for Policing Equity, as an intern in the Office of the President at the Brennan Center for Justice, and as a pretrial-justice graduate intern at Arnold Ventures.
