Erik Pereyra
MA in Public History
In my undergraduate experience I completed a Co-op with the Commonwealth Museum, focusing on the history of the Massachusetts area. My focus was educating primary school students on this matter, giving them the fundamentals of historical thought and appreciation. For my capstone, I focused on the Great Boston Fire and the Molasses Flood, two catastrophic events that affected Boston in the past, but I noticed were not prominent in Boston’s public history. I have experience in Sociology and Cultural Anthropology, studying globalization in the 21st century and its impact on the global south.
