JD Foster

Sociology PhD Candidate

JD joined Northeastern’s Sociology Ph.D. program in 2022 after working in issue advocacy for several years. He is interested in the effectiveness of social movement organizations and coalitions, particularly at the intersection of racial identity, political and cultural power. Previously, JD earned an M.S. in Organizational Development from George Mason University and undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Psychology from Arizona State University.
