Deaf Community Events
The Museum of Fine Arts offers a free guided tour in ASL with no spoken English for MFA members and visitors who are fluent in ASL. Guided tours in ASL occur on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm. To participate, just pick up an admission ticket from any cashier anytime after 4pm and meet your guide in the Sharf Visitor Center just before 6:00pm. Latecomers should check with the staff at Sharf for the location of the tour. For more information please find them online.
An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter is available from 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of every month. For more information, please find them online.

During the summer months (June through August) the Salsa in the Park program aims to bring salsa dancing to the local community through free lessons and open dancing on Monday evenings from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Silent Rhythms is the new program for the deaf and hard of hearing that makes learning how to dance fun, easy, and accessible! These classes will be taught in sign language by a deaf dancer who has performed all around the world. Silent Rhythms is 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday evenings.
