Associate Director for Civic Research
Kim is an academic-practitioner who is committed to community-driven civic research, innovation in city-university collaborations, and leveraging our collective expertise for the social good. Before coming to BARI, Kim was Interim Executive Director of MetroLab Network and has also served as Open Data Manager at the Department of Innovative Technology and Director of Civic Research at the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics, both with the City of Boston. Kim joined BARI because it is “fun” and to grow her work in civic research agendas. She hopes to create and support civic research collaboration between community organizations, local government, and higher education through her work with BARI. When she’s not working, Kim is spending time with her two pups, Ouaffles and Noodle.
