Associate Teaching Professor
Dr. Cali-Ryan Collin is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Human Services Program. Dr. Collin is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than ten years of clinical practice experience. Her research and practice activities focus on substance use, simulation, and interprofessional healthcare practice. She is passionate about centering the patient/client within their care and eliminating health inequities through structural change.

Presents an overview of the major theoretical approaches to counseling and therapeutic interventions. Focuses on developing clinical skills and competency in intentional interviewing. Combines systemic group exercises and experiential activities to practice interviewing techniques. Cross-cultural issues in counseling are integrated throughout the course.
