Lucy Thiboutot
Lecturer in Arabic
Lucy Thiboutot is the Dean of Al-Waha, the Arabic Language Village of Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, Minnesota, an Arabic immersion summer camp for children ages 7-18 in the North Woods of MN. During the academic year, she is based in the Boston area and in addition to supporting Customized Language Instruction in Arabic at Northeasterh, she serves as Communications Lead for the New England Arabic Teachers Council. She holds a Masters in Arab Studies from Georgetown and was the recipient of a year-long CASA Fellowship in Damascus, Syria and Intensive Summer Language Institute Fellowship in Alexandria, Cairo. She also taught for two years at the American Community School in Beirut, Lebanon, and has taught Arabic in a range of public and private K-12 settings in the Northeast for the past 15 years.
