Tabitha Benitez-Rogers
Assistant Teaching Professor in English
Tabitha Benitez-Rogers joined Northeastern University in 2023 after having earned her PhD in English from St. John’s University. Her research examines the intersection of race and language and its influences on individual’s writing choices. Her anti-racist approach to teaching supports multilingual and multidialectal students while encouraging students of all linguistic backgrounds to query systemic linguistic injustice.
Tabitha teaches courses in first-year writing and advanced writing in the business professions.

Advanced Writing in the Business Professions
ENGW 3304
Offers writing instruction for students in the D’Amore-McKim School of Business. Students practice and reflect on writing in professional, public, and academic genres—such as proposals, recommendation reports, letters, presentations, and e-mails—relevant for careers in business. In a workshop setting, offers students an opportunity to evaluate a wide variety of sources and develop expertise in audience analysis, critical research, peer review, and revision.
