History Department Hosts Annual Honors Reception and Phi Alpha Theta Induction Ceremony

On Monday May 2nd, the Department of History held its annual Honors Reception and Phi Alpha Theta Induction Ceremony. This year’s featured speaker was former Northeastern President Richard M. Freeland with Tayla Wilson as the student speaker. Students were inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honors Society and special awards were announced for both graduate and undergraduate students. Two work study students of the department, Tayla Wilson and Bethany Fitzgerald, were also recognized for their contributions to the department over the last three years. In addition, all graduating undergraduate history minors, undergraduate history majors, and history graduate students were acknowledged.
